The words you'll meet on OriginStats, in plain language: the markets, the results, the stats, the games and your balances.
Who wins the match in normal time. 1 means the home team wins, X means a draw, and 2 means the away team wins.
One team starts the match with a goal advantage or a goal deficit, shown as the line. Add the line to that team's final score: the side that comes out ahead wins.
Example
-0.5 on the home team: they must win. A draw or a defeat loses.
+1 on the away team: a win or a draw wins. Losing by exactly one goal is exactly on the line, so it doesn't count. Losing by more loses.
-0.25 on the home team is split into two halves, one on 0 and one on -0.5. If the match is a draw, the 0 half is exactly on the line and the -0.5 half loses: a half loss.
0: neither team gets a goal advantage. Whoever wins the match wins, and a draw is exactly on the line, so it doesn't count.
The line applies to the score of the whole match, so goals scored before you chose count too.
Whether the match ends with more or fewer goals than the line: over means more, under means fewer. Every goal in the match counts, including goals scored before you chose.
Example
2.5: 3 or more goals is over; 2 or fewer is under.
2.25 is split between 2 and 2.5. With 2 goals, the 2 half is exactly on the line and the 2.5 half is under, so over is a half loss and under is a half win.
Yes if each team scores at least once in the match. No if either team fails to score.
The number a handicap or a goals choice is measured against, such as -0.5 or 2.5. A line like -0.25 or 2.75 is a quarter line: half of the choice goes on each of the two nearest lines.
The number shown with each outcome, such as 1.85. The lower the price, the more likely the market thinks that outcome is.
Example
1.30 is a clear favourite; 6.00 is an outsider.
The percentage under each price on the match boards: the chance that price stands for, scaled so the outcomes of one market add up to a whole.
Example
Two sides both priced 2.00 stand for 50% each.
A choice or analysis is settled once its match is over and the result is known. Before that, it's pending.
A win means the outcome you chose came in. A loss means it didn't.
On a quarter line, a choice is split into two halves. A half win: one half wins and the other is exactly on the line. A half loss: one half loses and the other is exactly on the line. In OriginDaily a half win isn't right.
The result lands exactly on the line, for example a draw with a handicap of 0. It doesn't count as right or wrong, except in OriginDaily, where it isn't right.
The match was called off, postponed or abandoned, so a choice on it doesn't count as right or wrong.
The share of settled choices or analyses that came in, also called the win rate. Results exactly on the line and called-off matches are left out.
How much was made compared with what was put at risk. Every analysis or choice counts as 50,000PTS at risk, in points you can't spend.
Example
Two analyses at a price of 2.20: one wins, one loses. +10,000PTS made on 100,000PTS at risk is an Avg Profit % of 10%.
Points with no money value. They measure how analyses and choices do, and they can't be spent, bought or exchanged.
Choices or analyses whose match is over. Results exactly on the line count; called-off matches don't.
The bar under a market showing how Experts split between its two sides. It appears once at least 5 Experts have chosen on the match, and it shows a split, not a forecast.
A member whose analysis is for sale. A player becomes an Expert by finishing in the top 10 of a Monthly FantasyCup, or by winning 5 OriginArena titles within 90 days.

What a player makes in FantasyCup, OriginArena or OriginDaily: one side of a match, chosen for free. An Expert's choice is called an analysis.

FantasyLive's points. Everyone in a room starts with 10,000 play credits. They aren't money and can't be spent or exchanged anywhere.
In FantasyLive, the price of an outcome is called its odds. A winning bet pays its stake times its odds, in play credits, once it is settled on the official result after the whistle.
Example
A stake of 100 play credits at odds of 1.85 pays back 185 play credits if the bet wins.
The play credits you put on one bet in FantasyLive, up to 200.
Close a bet before the whistle at its current value, in play credits. That value moves with the odds, and a bet still open at the whistle is settled on the official result instead.
Play credits, Origin Coins, Referral Coins and your US$ balance are kept apart. They are never added together into one figure, and none of them can be swapped for another.
What you buy to unlock an Expert's analysis: 100 Origin Coins cost US$1.00. They can't be withdrawn or turned into money.
Money you earn from prizes and from selling analysis, shown in US dollars. You spend it in the OriginStats shop.
Origin Coins that come from the referral programme. They're spent before the Origin Coins you bought, they expire, and they have no cash value.
Spending Origin Coins to read an Expert's analysis, for a whole day or for one match. The “unlocked” count on a match shows how many people have unlocked analysis on it.
Unlocks one Expert's analysis without spending Origin Coins, for the Experts who accept passes. You get one when you join, after 3 active days, and every 7 active days in a row. An active day is a game day you open the app.
The part of your daily email about money that moved in your balances without you pressing anything, such as what your sales and paid comments added to your US$ balance. Each line names its currency, and no two currencies are ever added together. You can turn it off in your email settings.
